The WTC Water System currently serves an area of approximately 225 square miles and includes more than 260 miles of pipeline, 10 pump stations, 11 pressure planes and 2 elevated storage facilities. Hydraulically, the system is complex to operate due to the disjointed nature of the areas of service, long transmission distances, varied topography and system improvements built over a period of more than 40 years.
