WTCPUA is extending Stage 2 Watering Restrictions through November 1, 2025. Continued warm and dry weather, combined with high irrigation demand, makes these measures necessary to protect our water supply.
Why Stage 2 Is Still Needed

High irrigation demand: Even though fall is approaching, lawns and landscapes are still requiring significant watering, keeping demand unusually high.

Warm, dry conditions: With little rainfall and above-normal daytime highs, soils dry out quickly, further driving outdoor water use.

Seasonal patterns: Restrictions are often needed until temperatures cool and natural demand drops. Historically, irrigation use tapers off once daily high temperatures decrease later in the fall.
Until those factors improve, reducing restrictions would put additional strain on the system.
Stage 2 Rules

Irrigation is limited to once per week

Permitted watering hours: 6–10 a.m. and 7–10 p.m.

Compliance will be monitored and enforced; letters will be sent to those who do not follow the rules

Looking Ahead
Stage 2 restrictions will remain in effect as long as warm, dry conditions continue and irrigation demand remains high. Once cooler temperatures reduce outdoor watering needs and rainfall improves conditions, WTCPUA will evaluate lowering restrictions back to Stage 1.
